Methodology
How AutoMarketIQ works
AutoMarketIQ turns verified buyer submissions into dealer intelligence. Here is exactly how a new-car purchase becomes a competitive data point — and what that means for the dealers who subscribe.
A buyer submits their new-car purchase
A consumer who just bought a new car submits their transaction through our public intake form. They upload supporting documentation — typically the dealer deal sheet, purchase order, or buyer's order. This is the source of truth. Every data point in AutoMarketIQ traces back to a real purchase with real paperwork.
Structured fields are extracted
The extraction pipeline reads the uploaded documents and pulls every relevant line: VIN, year/make/model/trim, MSRP, selling price, doc fee, each stacked rebate and incentive, dealer add-ons, and the dealership name, city, and state. Nothing is estimated or modeled — every value is extracted from the customer's actual paperwork.
Personally identifiable information is stripped
All PII is automatically redacted before anything is surfaced to subscribers. Buyer name, address, phone, SSN, driver's license number, lender account numbers — removed from both the structured data and the deal sheet images. When a dealer opens a redacted deal sheet, they see the pricing, fees, and terms. They never see the buyer.
A human reviewer approves the record
Every transaction is reviewed before it's released. Unclear images, incomplete submissions, and duplicates are rejected. Approved transactions enter the public dataset available to dealer subscribers.
Dealers see the verified data — never their own
Subscribers see every verified transaction in their market — with one hard rule: a dealer's own transactions are automatically excluded from their competitor views. You see the market; you don't see your own deals in competitor rankings.
What this means for your store
- No DMS integration required. AutoMarketIQ does not read from your DMS. We source from buyer submissions, so any new-car dealer can subscribe regardless of Reynolds, CDK, PBS, Dealertrack, Autosoft, or other DMS.
- Every data point has a document. Unlike listing aggregators or aggregated DMS feeds, every transaction in AutoMarketIQ has a redacted deal sheet attached. You can show your sales team and your customers the actual document.
- Daily refresh. Approved transactions become visible within 24-48 hours. Enterprise customers get real-time feeds.
- Your data is yours. If a buyer submits a deal from your store, it appears in other dealers' competitor views (redacted, with no buyer PII) — but never in your own.
